'Jenya' the sea lion is set to greet the New Year back in the wild,... after weeks of rehabilitation. The sub-adult male sea lion was rescued in mid-November from the San Francisco Bay. He was severely wounded by a shark bite, suffering from domoic acid poisoning and malnutrition. But after 5 weeks of treatment, the sea lion recovered and regained full motion and weight distribution on his left front flipper. Finally on Christmas Eve, Jenya returned to his habitat, looking healthy.
