U.S. FDA approves Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine

The U.S. FDA is in the final stages of approving a second COVID-19 vaccine...this time made by Moderna.
The FDA is making the decision to approve the vaccine on an emergency basis.
The FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee endorsed the vaccine stating that it's safe for recipients aged 18 or older.
So far, the U.S. has agreed to purchase 200 million doses from Moderna.
Moderna's vaccine can be stored at normal freezer temperatures, making it easier to store and transport than Pfizer's vaccine.
