The European Medicines Agency has expressed hope it will be able to give a positive opinion on COVID-19 vaccines looking for approval by Christmas. The regulator said Wednesday that this will be possible assuming everything stays positive. It previously said the EU is trying to stay on a similar timeline to the U.S. FDA, which is expected to have a decision by mid-December on Pfizer's proposed vaccine. However, while things look positive, the agency won't be recommending a vaccine to the European public without a thorough analysis.
