A Nike Japan commercial which depicts discrimination against minorities has sparked debate online…including some calls to boycott the sportswear giant.
The ad titled 'Keep Moving: Yourself, the Future,' shows teen girls from different backgrounds, including one of Korean descent, being bullied at school...but the girls ultimately find confidence through their athletic endeavors.
The video has more than 14-point-2 million views on Twitter and while garnering support, it has also come in for some criticism.
Some has blamed the ad for creating a false impression of Japan while others said it's unfair to single the country out.
Positive comments have lauded Nike for highlighting the issue of racism.
