Anti-government protests in Thailand are picking up momentum,...calling for monarchy reform.
But the protests have prompted strong opposition from royalists who support the king.
And the country remains largely divided.
For more on this and other news from around the world, we turn to Lee Kyung-eun.
Kyung-eun, what's the latest?
Mok-yeon, more than one-thousand pro-monarchy protesters took to the streets in Bangkok on Tuesday.
Almost all of the royalists wore yellow shirts, symbolizing devotion to the monarchy.
And they were chanting their support for the king,.... against growing calls for monarchy reform among youth.
"We don't agree that the institution has to be reformed because it has not created any hardship for people. We don't accept it to be reformed."
Sparking the movement was the anti-government protesters' march toward the German embassy on Monday.
They called on Germany where the king spends most of his time to investigate whether he had conducted any Thai politics from there,... in violation of Germany's sovereignty.
The march was seen as an effort to draw international attention to calls for monarchy reform.
