The hospital that's treating Russian President Vladimir Putin's most prominent opponent, Alexei Navalny, says he appears to have been poisoned.
The hospital in Berlin said clinical tests on the anti-corruption campaigner suggested "intoxication by a substance from the group of cholinesterase inhibitors".
But doctors who treated him in Russia said the substance was not present.
"If I'm not mistaken, we received a final conclusion from two laboratories - in Tomsk and Moscow - that no toxic chemicals that can be considered poisons or by-products of poisons, were found."
The 44-year-old was taken ill on a return flight to Moscow last week, after drinking tea his allies suspect was poisoned at an airport cafe.
His flight made an emergency landing in Omsk, Siberia, where he was sent to intensive care unit, before being transferred to Berlin on Saturday.
