WHO recommends masks for older children; no masks for children five and under

The World Health Organization says masks should be worn by children aged 12 and older its first such guidance for children.
Together with the United Nations Children's Fund, the WHO on Friday published a set of guidelines, saying that masks are recommend when a distance of at least a meter cannot be guaranteed.
For children between six and 11 years of age, masks should be worn if there's a particularly high rate of local infections.
The WHO said, however, that masks should not be worn by children five and younger.
