Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a daily briefing on Monday (May 18) said a total of 1,175 motorists were ordered to turn back on Sunday after they were caught attempting unauthorised interstate travel.

He said the motorists were stopped at the road blocks as they were trying to cross state borders to ‘balik kampung’ for Hari Raya celebration.

Police have set up 148 roadblocks at state borders on Sunday and 156,096 vehicles were checked.
