A durian-eating fiesta in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, made history on Thursday (July 10) by entering the Malaysia Book of Records for the largest durian feast, drawing over 1,150 participants.

00:21than 1.5 tons of durians, featuring four popular varieties, Sultan, Mas, Musang
00:28King and Black Thone.

01:06A representative from the Malaysia Book of Records presented an official certificate
01:10to commemorate the record-breaking feat. The festive gathering included around 800
01:15foreign visitors who joined locals in sampling over 1,000 whole durians. Many international
01:21visitors said they developed a liking for the fruit after first encountering durian-based
01:24snacks, and were pleasantly surprised by the rich, creamy taste of Malaysian varieties.
