Biden to skip Milwaukee while Trump may give convention speech from White House amid COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed the way we go about with our everyday lives,... but it's also impacted elections.
With the 2020 U.S. presidential elections taking place on November 3rd,... President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden have been forced to change their schedules.

Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,... U.S. presidential candidates have been forced to change their schedule,... and find other,... safe ways to take part in their election bid.
Former Vice President and Democratic nominee,... Joe Biden and the rest of the speakers scheduled to take the stage at the Democratic National Convention later this month,... will not being traveling to Milwaukee in person for their speeches.
Citing the pandemic,... organizers said the speakers will avoid going to the city "in order to prevent risking the health" of the host community,... "as well others who may be involved with the event.
Instead of traveling to Milwaukee,... Biden will deliver his acceptance speech from his home state of Delaware on August 20th.
President Trump is also scrambling to make arrangements for his acceptance speech.
One idea that's being reportedly considered is for President Trump to deliver his acceptance speech from the South Lawn of the White House.
However, such a move could draw scrutiny.
While the president is exempt from the Hatch Act,... it is still frowned upon to use federal property maintained by taxpayers in order to hold purely political events.
One thing's for sure.
Candidates must take a different approach in getting to the voters this year,... as the U.S. is by far the worst hit nation in the world,... at nearly 5-million infections,... and over 161-thousand deaths reported, so far.
