Total COVID-19 death toll in U.S. tops 10,500

The COVID-19 death toll in the U.S. continues to surge…reaching over ten-thousand-five-hundred according to the latest figures we have.
This coming just 37 days since the U.S. reported its first coronavirus death.
The assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said on Monday that for New York, New Jersey and Detroit, this week is going to be the peak week for infections and deaths .
As for Europe, the death toll has surpassed 52-thousand...with Italy having the largest death toll of 16-thousand followed by Italy and Germany.
However, some European countries are moving toward alleviating restrictions such as lockdowns and the closure of businesses deemed "non-essential."
Austria is allowing shops to re-open from next Tuesday.
Spain aims to slowly lift the movement ban by April 25th.
