The South Korean government has unveiled the specifics of its COVID-19 emergency disaster fund program to help households through this difficult time.
Last month's health insurance fees will be the main criteria to assess how much support the lowest 70 percent income bracket will be eligible to receive.
It will apply to a one person family paying less than around 72 U.S. dollars, two people less than 122 dollars, three people less than 159 dollars and four people less than some 193 dollars.
The support fund will be around 8-hundred-15 dollars for a family with... or more than four members.
However, the government support will not be available to those with large assets even if they're in the lowest 70 percent income bracket.
Details on that are to be announced soon.
The government says it will prepare the supplementary budget for the National Assembly's approval as soon as possible.
