Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday that the government is still waiting for the investigations to be completed by Indonesia before taking action against Malaysia plantation companies responsible for the open burning that worsened the recent haze crisis.

He said this in reply to Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin who had asked about the role played by the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC).
