State governments have been urged to expedite the adoption of the National Forestry (Amendment) Act 2022 by amending their respective Forestry Enactments, in a bid to strengthen forest conservation and preservation efforts nationwide.
Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said on Sunday (June 29) that, so far, only the Federal Territories and Perlis have fully implemented the amended legislation.
