00:20The third and concluding season, which premiered on Friday, brings closure to the intense, dystopian storyline,
00:27where contestants face deadly childhood games in hopes of winning a massive cash prize.
00:32Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who has been at the helm since the beginning,
00:36said he had poured his heart and soul into the series over the past four years.
00:42The streets near Gyeongbokgung Palace in central Seoul came alive with fans dressed as the show's mysterious enforcers,
00:49in bright pink uniforms, leading a festive parade.
00:53They were joined by oversized props, flags, and familiar characters from the series,
00:58transforming the city into a live celebration of the global hit.
