CID director Shuhaily transferred to AKPS to serve as DG from July 1

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain will be transferred to the Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) effective July 1. He will serve a two-year term as AKPS director-general until June 30, 2027. He was appointed as CID director in Aug 2023. 00:07Muhammad Zain on Saturday confirmed that he will be transferred to the Border Control and Protection Agency, effective July 1st.

00:14Shuhaili said a handover of duties ceremony will be held on Monday.

00:18Shuhaili's two-year tenure as the new Director General of the agency will be until June 30th, 2027.

00:24Johor Police Chief Commissioner Datuk M. Kumar has been tapped to succeed Shuhaili

00:29as the new CID Director.

00:31According to the Transfer Directive, two other officers are also affected.

00:36A Superintendent from the Special Branch's Strategic Policy Secretariat at Bukit Aman

00:41has been reassigned to the Corporate Communications Division of the Inspector General of Police's Secretariat.

00:46Additionally, Superintendent Abdul Rashid Abu Bakar, who served in Corporate Communications,

00:52will now take up a new role as Superintendent of Corporate Communications too under the same Secretariat.

00:59and Detective Universitization for the joining of theigtails from the Director of the Administration.
