A pattern has emerged from the three attacks on national football players, says Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain.
Comm Shuhaily said police had noticed that the attacks occurred at two-day intervals.
He said based on the attacks, it looked like there were preparations made beforehand.

"We would like to investigate whether the attack on FAM that was carried out last month
00:13
is also related to the attacks on the national players.
00:21
The first case, I think everyone is aware of it.
00:24
We have received the facts of the case, we have reported it. The second case is the same.
00:30
You all have the facts of the case, you have reported it.
00:34
And it happened two days after the first case.
00:40
The third attack also happened two days after the second attack.
00:45
So there's a pattern, every two days. And we hope that's going to be the last one.
00:49
And we will do whatever we can in order to find the perpetrators who attacked the national players.
00:59
We have identified the MO.
01:02
The MO is two people and the victim was followed before the attack was carried out.
01:08
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind all the national players and also the league players.
01:15
If you or the players see something unusual,
01:22
you should take precautions.
01:25
As far as the MO is concerned, we still don't have a reason or a possible motive.
01:32
Because the first attack involved a loss, the second attack involved an injury,
01:39
and the third attack involved a loss from the point of view of the vehicle damage.
01:46
So we are looking from all angles and from all aspects.
01:51
And I take this opportunity for us all not to continue to speculate
02:00
which gives room for people who are interested or malicious to be caught in the thick of it.
02:08
We should take precautions from the speculation which is not adding value at all
02:16
to make decisions and take actions that are beyond the law.
02:22
Have any persons of interest been identified?
02:27
Persons of interest, as everybody is fully aware, there are two arrests made.
02:31
One of which was made earlier, after being detained for two days.
02:38
The second arrest is still being investigated.
02:42
We were detained for five days and will be released on the 11th of the month.
02:49
So we are still at our investigation stages.
02:54
For the second case itself, 10 persons have been interviewed.
03:01
A total of 15 persons were taken into account in the first case.
03:07
Dr. Chris, given that there is a meeting this week,
03:11
maybe from the DRM, will there be any further safety measures?
03:17
That's a very good question.
03:19
Yesterday, I think Dato KP Johor has given the assurance
03:24
that what happened will not affect the competition on Friday night.
03:30
I, from Bukit Aman, will try to generate as much as possible
03:36
to help the contingent of Johor to prepare.
03:41
We hope and pray that there will be no untoward incidents happening.
04:05
There is no need for emotions to be felt between the teams,
04:09
while these incidents happen randomly.
04:14
There are no facts to substantiate or to incite the supporters' emotions.
04:24
Based on this info, are these three cases connected?
04:33
Right now, we cannot say that it is connected.
04:36
As I said from the very beginning,
04:39
we took this case because it happened based on the dynamics.
04:45
But we cannot establish motives.
04:48
We can only establish the MOs.
04:52
I would like to follow up on the IG of Mohamad Imran Suresh.
04:56
Okay.
04:58
That, after we looked at it, it's a fake account.
05:06
That's why I said, you give a small gap,
05:10
these people try to make things worse.
05:13
By hinting, by trying to derail our investigation somewhere, and all that.
05:24
You're going to create a negative perception on people
05:28
who we do not know whether they are involved in the first place or not.
05:33
I'd rather stay on my course of investigation.
05:38
As I said, at the moment, only the MOs that we know for sure.
05:45
Whether it is related from case 1, case 2, case 3,
05:52
we still cannot be sure.
05:56
But there is a similarity.
06:02
Okay.
06:03
Thank you.
