The standing committee of the National Security Council says it will give an extra diplomatic boost to help the soon-to-happen working-level talks between North Korea and the U.S. Holding its weekly meeting a day earlier, the committee once again underscored the nation’s goal of building a peaceful Korean Peninsula. On a separate note, the members agreed to drive up the administration’s New Southern Policy by strengthening its relationships with ASEAN member nations, including those visited by President Moon earlier this month.
