At the VMAs, Keke Palmer said she was inspired by her "Hustlers" co-stars, like Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Lilli Reinhart, Lizzo and Cardi B. She said one of the challenges was the strength and athleticism needed to learn how to pole dance in the movie.
