Due to falling demand amid the nation's boycott of Japanese goods and services, Korean Air is switching to smaller aircraft for flights to four Japanese cities from mid-August.
The changes will affect flights from Incheon to Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya and Fukuoka,... until late October this year.
And from September, South Korea's second biggest carrier Asiana Airlines is also changing to smaller aircraft for some of its Japan routes.
Local budget carriers have already suspended or reduced their number of flights to Japan.
