The European Union is warning the World Trade Organization's appeals court,... which resolves disputes between members, could temporarily collapse this year,... due to U.S. opposition to the nomination of judges.
Speaking at France's central bank in Paris on Tuesday,... EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said the organization is in a "deep crisis",.. adding it will probably fold by December.
She added that, during that time,... there will be "no enforcement and no rules".
This comes as U.S. President Donald Trump blocked new appointments to the seven-member body, accusing judges of overstepping their mandates and ignoring instructions.
