Sweltering heat in central western regions with heat advisory, pop up showers in south 070919

Good afternoon. A sweltering heat wave grips Korea's central western regions with a heat wave advisory in place. Meanwhile, eastern regions will enjoy relatively cooler conditions with lots of clouds thanks to easterly winds.

Mostly sunny skies in store for central western regions with highs in the thirties. Meanwhile, parts of Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do Provinces will see passing showers during the day.

Central western regions will finally get some relief from the heat as monsoon showers return on Wednesday. Nationwide monsoon rain is expected through Thursday.

Rain will start Wednesday morning from southern and eastern parts of the country, gradually spreading to rest of the nation by afternoon.

Parts of Gangwon-do could see more than 150 millimeters of heavy showers,... while Jeju and Gyeongsang-do Provinces could see 20 to 60 millimeters into Thursday.
