The alerts in Seoul and the surrounding regions were upgraded to heatwave warnings today,... Seoul marking the highest reading of the season at 35 degrees Celsius.
The heatwave will intensify, especially for the western peninsula tomorrow because of a warm and dry wind.
We can expect Saturday to be as hot as today or even hotter so please take care of yourselves if you're planning a weekend outing.
The nation will be under mostly clear skies tomorrow,... however, the eastern regions may see isolated showers in the evening.
At the same time, Beijing and Tokyo will be a lot cooler with highs in the mid-twenties and continuous rain.
The morning temperatures are on the rise.
Seoul will kick off at 23 degrees Celsius, and slightly lower into the southern areas.
Hot temperatures will persist,... as Seoul and Chuncheon are expecting a high of 35 degrees, while Busan and Jeju linger around 27 degrees.
In weather like this, heat-related illness are increasing,... and it's expected to stay extremely hot until next week before the monsoon front brings in another bout of rain.
