S. Korea requests inter-Korean parliamentary talks with N. Korea

A South Korean parliamentary delegation has extended an offer to North Korea to hold inter-Korean parliamentary talks.
Sul Hoon,... a four-term lawmaker with the ruling Democratic Party who leads the delegation said,... he recently met with Pak Kum-hui, vice-chairman of the North's Supreme People's Assembly during an international conference in Russia.
Sul said,... he made the request so the parliaments can support the peace drive on the Korean peninsula,... that was recently reinvigorated following the DMZ meeting between the leaders of South and North Korea and the U.S.
He said,... the North Korean delegation greeted the proposal "positively."
Sul added he also pressed the North Koreans on the need to resume tours to North Korea as well as to reopen their joint industrial complex.
