North Korea's state media has reported on the historic handshake between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump, calling it an "amazing event" and a "breakthrough in denuclearization" efforts.
The Korean Central News Agency on Monday highlighted the friendly exchange,... quoting Kim as saying their ties would continue producing "good and unpredictable results."
The agency said the leaders discussed the easing of tensions on the Korean Peninsula, ending hostilities between North Korea and the U.S., and issues of mutual concern that hindered progress in the past.
It also reported on the impromptu nature of the meeting, quoting Kim who said his friendly relationship with Trump had allowed the sudden meet-up to take place.
