Sukma collector abduction: Govt may offer terms today-NewsX

No breakthrough yet in the Sukma District Collector abduction case even after 10 days. Maoists appointed interlocutors B D Sharma and prof Hargopal met Maoist leaders in the jungles yesterday during the 3rd round of discussions. They said that the abducted District Collector Alex Paul Menon is safe and in good health. Another meeting is slated for this morning. Government appointed interlocutors said the talks were positive, but did not elaborate. The Maoists are demanding the release of 17 of their comrades including 8 hardcore Naxals in exchange for the abducted DM.
