As the deadline set by the Naxals for the release of the Sukma Collector comes to an end today......talks are reportedly underway between the Maoists and the two mediators, BD Sharma and G Hargopal.
Both the mediators left for Chintainar from Raipur to hold another round of talks. It's been a week since the Sukma Collector Alex Palu Menon was abducted by Naxals. But despite several rounds of talks during the past two days, the Naxals have refused to extend the deadline and are now demanding the release of nine more of their cadres.
