A close aide to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly visited areas near the smartphone manufacturing plant of Samsung Electronics in Vietnam.
The North Korean leader's de facto chief of staff, Kim Chang-son, is known to have surveyed the area by vehicle on Sunday.
This raises speculation that Kim Jong-un could pay a visit to Samsung's facilities while he's in Hanoi for the second Pyeongyang-Washington summit.
If he does choose to visit the facilities,... this could be interpreted as the regime's strong intentions develop its economy.
Samsung Electronics says it wasn't notified in advance that the North Korean official was planning to check areas around its plant in Vietnam.
