Ingredients: 1 tsp fennel seed powder (roasted) 1/2 tsp black salt 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp red chili powder 2 tbsp powdered sugar Rice Flakes 1/2 cup ground nuts 2 tbsp cashew nuts Curry leaves 1/2 cup Gram Dal (soaked in water for 4 hrs) 1/2 cup Moong dal (soaked in water for 4 hrs)
Method: - Mix well-roasted fennel seed powder, black salt, turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder, powdered sugar in a bowl - Deep fry rice flakes in medium hot oil using a strainer, strain out all the oil and remove it in a bowl lined with tissue paper - Sprinkle mixed masala on the fried rice flakes and mix well with everything - Follow the same process for ground nuts, cashew nuts, curry leaves, gram dal, and moong dal. - Sprinkle masala mix everytime an ingredient is fried and mix well everything - Get rid of the tissue paper and mix well all the ingredients together once again. - Let everything cool and store chivda in an airtight container.
