Learn how to make Farali Misal from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani. Farali Misal is a twist to the usual Maharashtrian spicy misal. This is a quick and easy to make snack recipe during Upvas.
Ingredients:
4-5 Grated Fresh Coconut 4 tbsp Peanut powder Water 1 tsp Ghee 1 tsp Cumin Seeds 2-3 Green Chillies 1 Cup Peanuts, soaked in water Salt to taste Potato, boiled Sabudana, soaked overnight Upvas Batata Chivda, for garnishing
Method:
- Firstly in a mixer grinder add grated coconut, crushed peanuts and very little water. Grind everything to a smooth paste. Keep this mixture aside. - In a pan heat some ghee. - Once the ghee is hot add cumin seeds, green chillies, soaked peanuts. Mix everything well. - Then add the coconut mixture and again mix well. - Add boiled and mashed potato. Mix well. - Add soaked sabudana and salt to taste. Mix everything well. - In a bowl add upvas batata chivda. Pour this cooked mixture over it. - Garnish it with some more upvas batata chivda and serve.
