Inquest reveals tragic last moments of nine-year-old girl killed in car crash
  • 5 years ago
A coroner has praised the family of a nine-year-old girl who died in a horror crash after her organs saved four other lives - and inspired a national campaign. Little Keira Ball died after a head-on collision which could have been caused by her mother Loanna temporarily falling asleep at the wheel, an inquest heard. The mum was driving on the A361 North Devon Link Road with her seven-year-old son Bradley in the front passenger seat, and Keira in the back. The family's Vauxhall Vectra then collided with a Ford Ranger 4x4 towing a cattle trailer travelling in the opposite direction.
