Weather expert on Typhoon Soulik

Let's get an expert's take on Typhoon Soulik.
We are happy to be joined on the phone by Kang Sok-kuk, Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology.

1. First off, could you tell us what the forecast for Typhoon Soulik is right now? How quick is it moving and how strong are the winds?

2. This typhoon is going to be the first in six years to directly impact South Korea. Given that it's classified as a category One,...Are you expecting this to be a very dangerous storm in terms of the potential for loss of live and devastating damage to property and infrastructure?

3. Up until now, has the typhoon system been doing what you thought it would in terms of its track and speed?

4. Finally,... which of Korea's major cities are expected bear the brunt of most of the typhoon's force? And, as a sub-question, could it cause a lot of damage to Seoul… despite the fact we are relatively far north?

Well, we hope everyone stays safe. Thanks for your insights this morning. We appreciate it you coming on. That was Kang Sok-kuk, Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology, on Typhoon Soulik.
