Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. The heatwave alerts are back across the nation and have also been upgraded into warnings in some regions as the hot steamy air is being blown in by the typhoon.
Speaking of which, Typhoon Soulik is expected to go right across the peninsula this week,... for the first time since 2012. It's likely that by Wednesday it will reach the seas around Jeju Island, bringing strong wind and rain. And by Thursday, that rough weather is expected to spread nationwide as the typhoon moves across the nation.
Until then, hot and humid weather is expected,... and it'll mostly be cloudy tomorrow across Northeast Asia.
Tomorrow morning, Seoul will begin the morning at 25 degrees Celsius while Daegu and Gyeongju escape the tropical nights and start at 22 and 21 degrees.
The daily high in Seoul will reach 33 degrees while Gwangju hits 35 and Busan 32 degrees.
