Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, the monsoon season had just started and a typhoon joins the scene. How serious is the forecast now? What can we expect in the upcoming days?
Daniel, according to the latest readings, the forecast is going to worsen. The monsoon rain is expected to dissipate after midnight, but the influence of typhoon Prapiroon will affect Jeju-do Island and the southern provinces with more rain and strong winds. Weather conditions will be critical between tonight and Tuesday morning, and it won't be until Wednesday when we'll see the better conditions.
Currently, typhoon alerts have been issued in the eastern and southern regions, while other parts of the countries could be issued similar alerts tomorrow.
Until tomorrow, most regions are expected to see between 50 and 100 millimeters of precipitation whilethe southern and eastern coasts will be soaking up more than 150 millimeters of rain.
During the day Seoul and some places will stay cloudy,... but there will sporadic showers.
The morning lows will mostly be lingering around 23 or 24 degrees Celsius,... Seoul beginning the day at 23.
With a 10-degree jump during the day,... Seoul reaches 32, Gwangju 30 while Busan is a few notches lower at 26 degrees.
