Heat building up again, Typhoon Soulik approaching Korea _ 082018

Good afternoon. The Korean Peninsula is expecting the 19th typhoon of the season, Typhoon Soulik, to hit the nation this week.

Soulik is expected to hit the Korean Peninsula late on Wednesday after skirting around Japan's southern mainland island of Kyushu. Expect some strong winds and heavy showers.

Heat wave alerts have been expanded to more regions including here in Seoul and over in Sokcho. Mount Kumgang, the meeting place for the families from the South and the North, will have pleasant weather under mostly sunny skies.

Meanwhile, the other regions will have a hot and humid Monday afternoon at 34 degrees Celsius in Seoul, Daegu and Gyeongju.
