Good morning, I'm sure I wasn't the only one, waking up in the middle of the night to turn the AC on.. as the heat gets stronger...
Brace yourselves for blistering temperatures today. Heatwave alerts are in place across much of the country, heat warnings are in place for Busan, Daegu, Gwangju and Daejeon with temperatures expected to soar to 35 degrees Celsius this afternoon under sizzling sunshine.
For a closer look at today's temperatures... morning lows are slightly higher in most parts, kicking off at 24 degrees in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu and Gwangju.
Daily highs in Seoul will be 3 degrees higher than yesterday getting up to 32 degrees, the rest of the country will also notice temperatures jumping a couple notches higher so stay safe during the brutal heat.
It's shaping up to be a real hot and humid next five days, with highs in the low-thirties for the upper regions and mid-thirties down south.
