Good afternoon. Ideal spring weather is expected on this Parents' Day here in Korea, and the southern regions will also see bright skies.

Rain pushed down the temperatures in the southern regions over the extended weekend, and another breezy afternoon is expected today with big gaps in the readings around the country.

Seoul and Daejeon will get up to 22 degrees Celsius. Gyeongju will only have highs of 16 degrees.

Expect big fluctuations in the temperatures for a while, with mostly sunny skies well into Saturday.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

Bright skies with pleasant weather are in store for most of South Korea, while parts of North Korea will be under plenty of sunshine with warm highs.

In India, the Delhi government on Monday decided to close all evening schools on Tuesday following the weather department's warning about heavy rains and thunderstorms.

Those in Australia will notice a cold snap breaking the balmy autumn for the south-east states starting Thursday.

Heading to North America, New York City will see some normal spring weather this week after a warmest-ever start to May.

As for South America, Rio de Janeiro hasn't seen the sunshine for a few days, and more showers are expected on Tuesday.

Taking you to Europe,... most of Britain will see plenty of sunshine although the hottest temperatures will be in the Southeast.

Lastly to Africa, despite the forecast indicating that the rains are coming to Cape Town, weather warnings are in place for potential forest fires and high winds.

That's the weather update for now.
