Ingredients:-
3 tbsp. Oil
1 tsp. Mustard Seeds
1 tsp. Cumin Seeds
7-8 Curry Leaves
1 Dry Red Chilli
2 tbsp. Split Chickpeas, soaked for 60 minutes
2 tbsp. Orange Lentils, soaked for 60 minutes
2 tbsp. Split Black Gram Lentils, soaked for 60 minutes
½ cup Water
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder
1 tsp. Ginger-Garlic Paste
Salt, to taste
2 tbsp. Tamarind Pulp
Cooked Basmati Rice (2 cups before cooking)
3 tbsp. Groundnuts, soaked for 60 minutes


Method:-
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and a dry red chilli. Stir.
- Add the soaked lentils, coriander leaves and saute.
- Now add water, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt.
- Cover with a lid and cook until the lentils are half cooked.
- Then add tamarind pulp and cooked Basmati Rice to this. Mix well.
- Add groundnuts and cook with the lid on for 2 minutes.

Delicious Tamarind Rice is ready to eat!
