Learn how to make Maharashtrian style Sode Bhaat (Prawn Rice) a quick rice recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Sode (Dried Prawns), soaked for 30 minutes
1 & 1/2 Cup Rice
4-5 tbsp Oil
1 Cinnamon
3 Cloves
4-5 Black Pepper
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Onions
1/2tsp Turmeric powder
Coriander Leaves
1 tbsp Mix Masala
Salt to taste
3 Cups Water
1 tbsp Dry Coconut paste
Method:
- Firstly, soak the Sode (Dried Prawn) in some water for 30 minutes.
- In a pan heat some oil.
- Add cinnamon, cloves & black pepper.
- Then add ginger garlic paste, onion, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and soaked prawn. Saute everything well.
- Add rice, mix masala, salt, water & dry coconut paste. Stir well.
- Cover it with a lid and let everything cook for 15 minutes.
- Garnish the Prawn Rice with coriander leaves and serve!
