Learn how to make Maharashtrian style Sukat Kalvan - dry prawn curry recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani. This curry goes very well with rice, bhakri or chapati.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1 Onion, chopped
1 Potato, chopped
1 Cup Sukat, soaked
1 tbsp Mix Masala
1 Cup Coconut Milk
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves
Water

Method:

- Firstly, soak the dried Prawns in some water for 30 minutes.
- In a pan heat some oil.
- Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, onion, coriander leaves & potato. Saute everything well.
- Then add soaked prawn, mix masala, salt & water. Mix well.
- Cover it with a lid and let everything cook for 15 minutes.
- Add coconut milk & tamarind pulp. Mix everything well.
- Cover it again and let everything simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sukat Kalvan is ready to be served.
