Air Raids and Ground Clashes Continue in Southwestern Daraa City

Forces loyal to the Assad regime carried out several air raids and surface-to-air missile strikes against Tahrir al-Sham rebels in Daraa’s southwestern al-Manshiya neighborhood on May 18.Unconfirmed reports claimed rebel commander Bilal Yasser Abu Zaid was killed in one of the airstrikes. Clashes have been ongoing in the southwestern area of the city since the early morning hours of May 17, when pro-regime forces began a ground attack which was slowly repelled over the next 36 hours by local rebel forces.
