Black Smoke Billows into Sky After Air Strike in Nawa, Daraa Province

Smoke clouds rose above buildings in Nawa, Syria, located northwest of Daraa, on June 29 after reports of airstrikes.The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said war planes targeted towns northwest of Daraa with airstrikes, and local news footage said the populations of those cities has fled from the strikes.Syrian government forces reported taking control of villages to the northeast of Daraa, Syrian state news agency SANA said.The fighting has displaced as many as 120,000 people from Daraa and the countryside to the Jordanian and Israeli borders, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
