Dy ditë pasi Serbia shpalli mbajtjen e zgjedhjeve edhe në Kosovë, kuvendi i Kosovës votoi ne parim hartimin e një rezolute e cila kundërshton zhvillimin e këtij procesi me 6 maj ne veri te vendit. Për këtë dokument votuan te 75 deputetet e pranishëm ndërsa diskutimi dhe votimi i përmbajtjes se rezolutës do te vijoje gjate pasdites. Pak përpara këtij votimi kryeministri Thaçi ka qenë i prerë në qëndrimin e tij. Ai tha se autoritetet e vendit nuk do të lejojnë mbajtjen e asnjë lloj zgjedhjesh që nuk i përkasin Republikës së Kosovës. Duke folur për tezat e rihedhura se fundmi ne media ne këtë kohe tensionesh Kryeministri Thaçi tha se nuk do te ketë dialog e as status special për veriun e Kosovës. Ndërkohe krahas vendimeve te saj te fundit për te mbajtur zgjedhje ne veri, Serbia duket se nuk ka përmbushur edhe marrëveshjen e nënshkruar se fundmi ne Bruksel për çështjen e emrit. Përmes një komunikate për shtyp, te publikuar nga zyrat e kryeministrisë, shprehet shqetësimi se Serbia nuk ka ftuar Kosovën ne konferencën rajonale me teme: " Partneriteti për ndryshim: Shoqëria civile dhe qeveritë ne Ballkanin perëndimor" te mbajtur ne Beograd.
