The current-generation Nissan Patrol has been soldiering on for more than a decade now, helped along by design tweaks and tech updates before it eventually retires to make way for the all-new model. It remains to be a full-size SUV with commanding road presence, effortless performance, and a decent number of features, but inevitably, it’s at a bit of a disadvantage against the much newer Toyota Land Cruiser, its main competitor in the segment.

But while getting a unit of the Toyota could entail a years-long wait, the Patrol is readily available.
