Fifty‑three giant sculptures of Wallace, Gromit. Feathers McGraw and debut newcomer Norbot are gracing the city until the end of August as part of Gromit Unleashed Three. With a dedicated app and printed map, residents and visitors alike can explore the trail and unlock rewards while supporting The Grand Appeal--which has helped raise over twenty million pounds for Bristol Children's Hospital from past art trails.

00:00So everybody is very excited in and around the city of Bristol about the Gromit Unleashed Trail.
00:07It's a really exciting experience, especially because Aardman is right in the heart of Bristol and is a really big part of Bristol's history.
00:16So tell us a little bit about the Gromit Unleashed Trail. What can we expect? What is it?
00:21Absolutely. I mean, if you've been into city centre or even around the outskirts, you'll probably have spotted one or two of these sculptures already.
00:32I think the trail is actually about 53 sculptures and they're also individually decorated and painted by different artists.
00:41Many of them have this kind of film and TV theme, so it's kind of tapping into that culture as well, which is great.
00:48And what you can do is you can pick up a map. There's printed maps at Temple Mead Station, for instance.
00:56So tell me a little bit more about what we can expect from all these sculptures then.
01:02Well, they're really beautiful for starters. I was lucky enough to be at the launch with Nick Park there.
01:09And like you say, the streets of Bristol are colourful and vibrant all year round.
01:14But this is bringing something extra special. And as the proud home of Aardman, it's something that's really on theme for Bristol.
01:21But yeah, I mean, we're a city of creatives, aren't we really here? And I think that really sort of taps into it.
01:29But if you're feeling creative yourself after sort of seeing the trail and feeling inspired, there's a number of things that you can kind of do in Bristol along those lines.
01:38And so you can actually make your own Gromit Unleashed Stencil Spray Arts.
01:45So Graft, they're a company that run a lot of spray art and street art workshops.
01:50On the 6th of August, they've got a day of workshops at Folk House on Park Street, where you can create your own stencil spray art of Gromit or Feathers McGraw.
02:04So that's something you can do. Or you could go to We the Curious.
02:08So they've got Astronome, which is one of the Norbot sculptures on the trail that's actually in the foyer of We the Curious.
02:17They've got an exclusive Aardman collaboration exhibition called Animation Station.
02:24And you can learn how to create your own Aardman character there or just get really creative and create your own animation yourself.
02:32And what about what else can people do while they're on the trail?
02:37Are there kind of restaurants and things that people can visit, perhaps have a drink if they want to?
02:43Yeah, absolutely. On the Visit Bristol website, we've gone Gromit crazy.
02:48So we've got a whole hub landing page about the Gromit Trail.
02:52And within that, you've got these little mini itineraries.
02:55So those focus on, again, sort of these mini trails around the city.
