00:00Right off the bat, the president began to set the tenor of his speech by going native and
00:04articulating himself to the nation. Among the salient talking points that stood out in his
00:0980-minute speech, increased and broadened vaccination coverage on kids, inclusion of
00:15children of four-piece beneficiaries to free college education, and a stern warning to shady
00:20rice traders manipulating grain prices. But as our Kenneth Paschenta reports, his harshest tirade
00:27he directed to government officials who skim off the top of infrastructure projects and vowed to
00:32hold into account, pending a DPWH report he ordered post-haste.
00:39President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. laid out one by one the country's achievements in various aspects
00:45over the past year of his administration during his fourth State of the Nation address. On the economy,
00:51the president showcased that the nation's economic state is strong. Investor confidence has risen.
00:56Inflation has gone down and jobs have increased. However, he said the government will not stop
01:02reaching higher. He emphasized that concerned government agencies will continue to work hard
01:06to address the needs of Filipinos.

01:18para sa natitirang apat na porsyento ng ating pwersang manggagawa na hanggang ngayon ay
01:25walang trabaho. Ipagpapatuloy natin ang pagbibigay ng puhunahan sa mas marami pang negosyante para
01:32to start a small business or micro-enterprise
01:35with an interest and a lot of collateral.
01:39Also, the capital and protection for the mga yamang-isip.
01:44At for the mga that we have been able to do it
01:46mula on a hard time,
01:48we continue to give free training and training
01:52to make sure that they are in their own business.
01:55We are not able to do it until
01:56almost 2 million million families
02:00ay matutulungan natin
02:02na magkaroon ng kanilang sariling maliit na negosyo.
02:06On education, the President said
02:08he recognizes the challenges students face.
02:11Thus, he mentioned that there is a strong push
02:13to improve the education system,
02:15including the implementation of the Academic Learning Recovery
02:18Accessible Learning or Aral Program,
02:20as well as early childhood care
02:21to ensure that children are given attention at a young age.
02:24Although he noted that remedial classes
02:26and other DepEd programs have been effective,
02:29he also assured a focus on building additional classrooms.
02:32Sa nakarang tatlong taon,
02:34halos 22,000 silid aralan ang nabuksan na.
02:39Hihigitan pa natin ito
02:41dahil talagang nakakaawa ang ating mga mag-aaral.
02:45Hindi na natin dapat nabibitin
02:48ang oras nila sa klase
02:50dahil sa kakulangan ng classroom.
02:53Katuwang ng pribadong sektor,
02:55sisikapin natin madadagdagan pa
02:57ng 40,000 silid aralan
02:59bago matapos itong administrasyon.
03:07Maglalaan tayo ng sapat na pondo para rito.
03:11Alang-alang sa mga ating mag-aaral,
03:14hihilingin ko ang buong suporta
03:17ng ating kongreso.
03:18The president also highlighted
03:19addressing teachers' needs,

03:44ng mga cancer patient natin.
03:46May pondo rin para sa bakuna
03:48laban sa human papilloma virus
03:50na nagiging sanhi ng maraming klase na cancer.
03:54Para naman sa ibang klase na cancer
03:55na hindi sakot ng field health,
03:57meron po din tayong nilaang
03:59isang bilyon at pitong daang milyong piso
04:02para pambili ng mga kinakailangang gamot
04:05para sa ating mga pasyente.
04:07Meanwhile, the president asserted
04:08that the government continues
04:09to strengthen the country's foreign policy
04:11and reiterated that the Philippines
04:13is an enemy to none.
04:15Gayun din,
04:16dahil sa ating masigasid
04:17ng pakikipag-ugnayan,
04:19sa loob ng tatlong taon,
04:21nagawara ng kapatawaran
04:23ang mahigit anim na raang kababayan
04:25nating nahatulan
04:26dahil sa sari-saring paglabag sa batas
04:29sa ibang bansa,
04:30lalo na sa UAE,
04:32sa Qatar, sa Bahrain, at sa iba pa.
04:36And so,

05:09the proposed budget
05:10if it's not aligned with the needs
05:11of the Filipino people,
05:13even if the government would have to continue
05:15to deliver services and function
