00:14President Marcos Jr. expressed his gratitude for the role of the ADB in the advancement of the government's programs.
00:22He pointed out the help of ADB in the country during the surge of COVID-19 pandemic,
00:28wherein he emphasized that if we didn't have the support of Asakawa, the situation of the country would have been very difficult.
00:36President Marcos Jr. also said he aims to strengthen the partnership.
00:41Asakawa was awarded the Order of Cicatuna by the President in recognition to his support and service to improve the partnership of the Philippines and ADB.
00:52Asakawa served as President of ADB for five years, and his senior year will end on February 23.
