00:00:00BJP attacks the Congress Party ahead of the big Operation Sindhu debate in the Parliament.
00:00:05BJP accuses Congress Party's Chidam Ram of backing Pakistan.
00:00:09Congress MP had questioned origin of pehelgaam butchers.
00:00:12Now BJP's Amit Malweyar says Congress gives clean shit to Pakistan.
00:00:17Congress MP had said no proof that terrorists came from Pakistan,
00:00:21after which the BJP has attacked the Congress Party saying that Congress sounds like Pakistan defense lawyers.
00:00:26So that's the update that is coming in.
00:00:29And my colleague Piyush Mishra is now joining us with more details on this.
00:00:33Piyush, could you tell us more about what exactly did Congress Party's Chidam Ram said about the pehelgaam attackers?
00:00:42Well, if you talk about this entire controversy, what we are now learning is that the Congress Party leader,
00:00:47former Home Minister of the country, D. Chidam Ram, has now told a controversy, political controversy,
00:00:52where he has, you know, when I interview, has claimed that he was, in fact, one word asking that,
00:01:00are you sure that the pehelgaam attackers came from Pakistan?
00:01:03To which now the BJP has responded, saying that this shows how the Congress Party is received between the rights of Pakistan.
00:01:10Remember that earlier, also, BJP has been claiming the same thing that the Congress Party always strokes the line of Pakistan,
00:01:17and that's what the BJP seems to be repeating the same, and this big controversy has occurred on the day,
00:01:22when the entire discussion on Operation Sindhu is all set to be taken in Lok Sabha today and in Rajya Sabha tomorrow.
00:01:28So we're activating ourselves, this controversy is going to snowball,
00:01:31but it's almost certain that BJP is going to ask a question from not only Tee Chidam Ram,
00:01:36but also from the public issue of the Congress Party.
00:01:38All right, Piyush, thank you so much for all those details.
00:01:42In fact, we'll keep coming back to you for more updates on this.
00:01:49Viewers, brace yourself for the sunset storm.
00:01:52After a week-long washout, Parliament is all set for a fiery debate on the pehelgaam attack and Operation Sindhu,
00:01:58where the ruling NDA and the opposition will lock horns over the two issues framed around national security and foreign policies.
00:02:06A 16-hour debate is scheduled in the Lok Sabha starting today.
00:02:10The discussion will be initiated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
00:02:13He has held key meetings with CDS and Tri-Services Chief to prepare the government's response on Operation Sindhu.
00:02:20Now, sources say that the government plans to respond aggressively, outlining the full scope of Operation Sindhu.
00:02:26Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S.J. Shankar will also join the government's defence line.
00:02:31Prime Minister Modi is likely to intervene to highlight the government's strong track record on national security.
00:02:38Meanwhile, the big names to present the opposition side are Priyanka Gandhi, Gaurav Gogoye, KC Venu Gopal, Akhilesh Yadav and Supriya Sule.
00:02:47Sources suggest that Rahul Gandhi will take the floor tomorrow.
00:02:50Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly hit out at the Modi government's foreign policy,
00:02:54accusing it of failing to secure global support for Operation Sindhu.
00:02:58He has also questioned Donald Trump's repeated claims of mediation between India and Pakistan.
00:03:03In fact, Prime Minister Modi, on the other hand, has defended the operation,
00:03:07calling it a complete success that targeted terror infrastructure in POK and Pakistan
00:03:12and also showcased India's indigenous military might.

00:08:55We have the result of this.
00:08:57We have the government in Parliament.
00:08:59I think that our children,
00:09:01our children,
00:09:03are we able to give them?
00:09:05There are many questions.
00:09:07The question is,
00:09:09who has done this?
00:09:11Why did they not get rid of it?
00:09:13How did the intelligence failure happen?
00:09:15And
00:09:19the U.S. government, Trump,
00:09:21says that I have done a ceasefire.
00:09:23How did they do a ceasefire?
00:09:25And why are we not saying anything about that?
00:09:27There is a church in 16 hours.
00:09:29We will not come in front of the church in 16 hours.
00:09:33Today, I can only do this.
00:09:35That the government is correct.
00:09:41And let's also listen in to what
00:09:43the Prime Minister has said so far
00:09:45on Operation Sindur.
00:09:49After the attack,
00:09:51Russian and 보이eds rebel groups in 1810,
00:10:00here is a defense ministry.
00:10:03Despite the attack,
00:10:05all Americans,
00:10:06other anti-ankers,
00:10:07other than economic establishment,
00:10:09all Americans and people,
00:10:11all friends,
00:10:13to beg for justice.
00:13:13But the opposition has raised several questions about Operation Sindhoor,
00:13:26from foreign support to US claiming the credit,
00:13:29the Vipaksh has consistently demanded clear answers from the Modi government.
00:13:33Listen in to what they said in the past.
00:13:35Prime Minister gave a statement,
00:14:43Let's also listen in to what
00:14:45US President Donald Trump had said
00:14:47in the past, claiming credit for the
00:14:49truce between India and Pakistan.
00:14:52We stopped a lot of fights.
00:14:54I think a very big one, frankly,
00:14:56a very, very big one was
00:14:57India and Pakistan.
00:14:59And we stopped that over trade.
00:15:01We're dealing with India and we're dealing with Pakistan
00:15:03and we say we're not going to be dealing with you at all
00:15:05if you're not, if you're going to fight.
00:15:07And they were maybe at a nuclear stage,
00:15:09they're both, you know, nuclear powers.
00:15:12And I think stopping that was very important.
00:15:14I think I settled it through a trade.
00:15:15We're doing a big deal with India,
00:15:18we're doing a big deal with Pakistan.
00:15:20And I said, what are you guys doing?
00:15:21You know, they, somebody had to be the last one to shoot.
00:15:25But the shooting was getting worse and worse,
00:15:27bigger and bigger, deeper and deeper into the countries.
00:15:30And we spoke to him and we, I think we, you know,
00:15:34I hate to say we got it settled and then two days later,
00:15:37something happens and they say,
00:15:38it's Trump's fault.
00:15:40But we, Pakistan has got some excellent people
00:15:45and some really good, great leader.
00:15:48And India is my friend Modi.
00:15:51Modi?
00:15:51And he's a...
00:15:52Mutual friend?
00:15:52Yeah.
00:15:53He's a great guy.
00:15:55And I called them both and we just...
00:15:57And we're now getting some breaking news.
00:16:07This is regarding the India versus Pakistan Asia Cup game
00:16:10that has now sparked controversy.
00:16:12Now, ex-BCCI president says sport must go on.
00:16:16Saurav Ganguly has said that stop terrorism,
00:16:19but sport must continue.
00:16:21He goes on to say that India took a strong stance towards terror.
00:16:25And remember, India and Pakistan have been placed
00:16:27in the same group in Asia Cup
00:16:29that is scheduled for September this year.
00:16:31And now a controversy has erupted over this issue
00:16:36where ex-BCCI president Saurav Ganguly has said
00:16:39that stop terrorism, but sport must continue.
00:16:46We're getting some breaking news from the state of Kerala
00:17:13where a row over participation of Kerala vice-chancellors
00:17:17has erupted.
00:17:18They participated in RSS event
00:17:21and now Kerala education minister has condemned
00:17:24the RSS outfits educational conference.
00:17:27The news that the vice-chancellors of five universities
00:17:29in the state are participating in an event
00:17:32led by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is very much worrying.
00:17:35This is what the Kerala education minister has said
00:17:38on the participation of the vice-chancellors
00:17:41at the RSS event.
00:17:42Let's listen in to what Mohan Bhagwat said
00:17:45in this event.
00:17:49Bharat E.N.S. in education.
00:17:54Bharat is a proper noun.
00:17:57We don't need to translate it.
00:18:03India is Bharat.
00:18:06But Bharat is Bharat.
00:18:07And my colleague Shibhimul is now joining us with more details.
00:18:29Shibhimul, Kerala education minister has condemned the RSS outfits educational conference.
00:18:34In fact, it has also slammed the participation of Kerala vice-chancellors
00:18:38in this particular event.
00:18:39Give us more details.
00:18:40Anjali, this is a conclave that the IR education, you know, the RSS-linked organization
00:18:49has been organizing since the last few years.
00:18:52This year's edition was held in Kerala.
00:18:53It's been ongoing since the last few weeks.
00:18:55Yesterday is when five vice-chancellors of five universities, four vice-chancellors of five
00:19:02universities in Kerala, various universities, that includes Karnur University, Calcutt University,
00:19:06Kupos University, attended this program, which was inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwan.
00:19:15You know, there are already ongoing issues with the university vice-chancellors as well
00:19:19as the state government, as well as the student unions in the state saying that they're trying
00:19:24to fascinize the universities.
00:19:26Earlier, also, the government had expressed that, you know, they're not in favor of vice-chancellors
00:19:30attending such programs, which has political lenience, but it's, you know, breaking all
00:19:36those concerns raised by the state government, the five vice-chancellors, the four vice-chancellors
00:19:41have went and attended this event.
00:19:43That's where Education Minister V. Shivankuti says that, you know, this is very concerning.
00:19:48Education department or education as sector should not be considered as a place to show
00:19:53any kind of politics or bring in any political ideologies.
00:19:57It should stay independent and neutral.
00:19:59That's what we want, the university, that's what we want.
00:20:02And what they're doing right now is concerning, is worrying, is what the Education Minister said.
00:20:07You know, this can be seen as, you know, an extension, extended version of what has been
00:20:13ongoing with the state government, as well as the student unions, with the vice-chancellors
00:20:18of various universities.
00:20:18So, we'll have to see in the coming days, you know, if we need to move protests by the
00:20:23student unions, considering that SSI, the student union of the CPM, has been staging protests
00:20:27against the vice-chancellors, saying that they're trying to satanize the universities in
00:20:30Kerala.
00:20:31All right, Shibimul, thank you for getting us those details.
00:20:34And for that context, with that, we're now shifting focus.
00:20:39The Supreme Court will hear a writ petition filed by Justice Yashwan Thwarma today.
00:20:44A bench of Justices Dipankar Datta and Augustine George will hear the matter.
00:20:49The case stems from a March 14 incident when a fire at Justice Verma's official residence
00:20:55in Delhi led to the accidental discovery of large amounts of currency.
00:20:59An in-house panel of three High Court judges constituted by the then CGI Sanjeev Khanna found
00:21:05Justice Verma's conduct unnatural and drew adverse inferences.
00:21:09The panel concluded that the cash was under the control of Justice Verma or his family.
00:21:15Now, Justice Verma filed the plea in the Supreme Court after denying all the allegations of
00:21:20the report, calling the probe unfair and lacking due process and that key facts were still not
00:21:25investigated.
00:21:27Meanwhile, the impeachment motion has now moved to the Lok Sabha.
00:21:30The impeachment had been recommended by the former CGI Sanjeev Khanna.
00:21:34Over 100 MPs have backed it.
00:21:36The speaker is expected to form a statutory inquiry committee under the Judges' Inquiry Act.
00:21:50And we're now getting some breaking news out on bail.
00:21:53Actor Darshan shoots film in Thailand.
00:21:56Darshan fans slam actor Ramya for backing victim.
00:21:59Ramya backs Rhaenika's family.
00:22:01Darshan fans fume.
00:22:02In fact, Ramya has now posted on social media platform Instagram saying that trolls have
00:22:07misogynistic mindset.
00:22:09Ramya has also said that trolls prove why Rhaenika's family needs justice.
00:22:14So, actor Darshan, who's out on bail, is shooting a film in Thailand.
00:22:19And now Darshan's fans have slammed actor Ramya for backing the victim.
00:22:24My colleague Nagarjun is now joining us with more details on this.
00:22:28Nagarjun Ramya has claimed that she's being trolled by Darshan's fans for backing
00:22:33Renuka's family, who's the victim.
00:22:35Could you give us more details?
00:22:37Yes, indeed, Ramya had put out a statement that the Supreme Court has to hope for people
00:22:44in the case.
00:22:46And what happened was, Darshan's fans started attacking Ramya on her Instagram direct messages.
00:22:55They started sending vulgar messages.
00:22:57And last evening, Ramya has put out screenshots of such vulgar messages and a statement that
00:23:03it's a proof that Darshan fans are no less than Renuka's family.
00:23:07And hence, look at the messages, what Darshan fans are putting out.
00:23:12This completely misogynistic comments and straight out of all of them are claiming that they're
00:23:18Darshan fans.
00:23:19This shows what kind of trolls they are, is what actor Ramya said.
00:23:23She's also contemplating filing a cyber case in what we are told.
00:23:27Great, Nagarjun.
00:23:28Thank you for those details and for that context.
00:23:33Zohran Mamdani ties the knot in a three-day high-security celebration atop a Ugandan hill.
00:23:42But as the drums played, so did disapproval.
00:23:45In a nation mourning, some say the timing hit a sour note.
00:23:49Here's more in our next report.
00:23:50The man who is poised to become New York City's next mayor has made headlines not for politics
00:24:04but for pageantry.
00:24:0633-year-old Zohran Mamdani, progressive firebrand, just strapped a three-day high-security wedding
00:24:16extravaganza at his family's sprawling estate in Uganda.
00:24:22Mamdani tied the knot with 27-year-old Syrian artist Rama Dhuwaji, a union first blessed in
00:24:27Dubai and New York, now celebrated on African soil with cultural flair, music and motion.
00:24:33Nestled atop Buziga Hill with a panoramic view of Lake Victoria, this wasn't just any wedding.
00:24:41With over 20 special forces guards, cell phone jammers and an invite-only guest list of international
00:24:47elites, the celebration was a fortress of festivity.
00:24:50But even as the drums beat, whispers of discontent echoed outside the estate, critics questioning
00:24:59the timing of such opulence during Uganda's period of mourning for a top Supreme Court judge.
00:25:06However, Mamdani has faced significant backlash from netizens and Ugandan locals for hosting a
00:25:12lavish three-day wedding celebration, calling it insensitive.
00:25:18The son of filmmaker Meera Nair and academic Mehmood Mamdani, Zohran's life straddles
00:25:22continents and controversies.
00:25:25As he eyes City Hall, this global celebration marks not just a personal milestone, but a moment
00:25:30the world watched.
00:25:33Bureau Report, India Today.
00:25:34Congress taunts Prime Minister after Chola tribute.
00:25:39Congress says, Cholas never allowed neighbours to unite against us.
00:25:44Cholas didn't surrender to foreign pressure and Cholas didn't have failed Intel's system.
00:25:49This is what the Congress Party has said after Prime Minister Modi's Chola tribute in Tamil Nadu
00:25:55yesterday.
00:25:55And the Congress has also slammed Prime Minister saying that answer in the Parliament, not PR
00:26:01shows.
00:26:01That's the attack that is coming to the fore from the Congress Party against the Prime
00:26:06Minister after he paid tribute to the Chola dynasty.
00:26:09He gave a Chola tribute in Tamil Nadu yesterday.
00:26:13And let's listen in to what Prime Minister Modi said.
00:26:16Chola, President.
00:26:20Chola, President.
00:26:21Chola, President.
00:26:21Chola राजावने, अपने राजनाई और व्यापारी संबंदों का विस्तार,
00:26:29स्रिलंका, मौल्दिव, और दख्षेंपुर्वे हिश्या तक किया था.

00:27:03And my colleague Rahul Gautam is now joining us with more details.
00:27:22Rahul, just ahead of the fiery session in the parliament on Operation Sindhur and also
00:27:27just a day after Prime Minister Modi's Chola tribute, now the Congress party is attacking
00:27:32the government and the Prime Minister, linking the Chola tribute to the border tensions.
00:27:43Absolutely, and you know, this has come in from Congress MP from Tamil Nadu, Mr. Manikam
00:27:50Tagore, who put in a tweet saying that unlike Chola kings, you know, the Modi government
00:27:56had surrendered before Donald Trump and how there was a faulty and a flawed intelligence
00:28:02system that was put in place, unlike Chola kings.
00:28:05So essentially, one can say that the Congress MP is invoking legacy of Tamil Chola kings because
00:28:12of the simple fact that Prime Minister Indra Modi was in Tamil Nadu.
00:28:16He had visited 1000-year-old temples also that were constructed by as-to-while Tamil Chola kings.
00:28:23So you can say, in a way, by invoking the legacy of Tamil Chola kings, the Congress MP is trying
00:28:29to put out a narrative that the Prime Minister is running away, you know, from real answers.
00:28:34He's only indulging in PR shows, not answering on Operation Sindhur in parliament.
00:28:39But at the same time, he's trying to milk the rich legacy and traditions of Tamil Nadu.
00:28:45Now remember, the very next year, Tamil Nadu is going to see polls, assembly polls, and it's
00:28:50going to be one of the most crucial states that are going to witness polling.
00:28:54So obviously, this is an attempt on the part of Congress MP to discard a BJP from Tamil Nadu
00:29:01and also try to create a narrative that the legacy or the glorious heritage of Tamil Nadu actually
00:29:13belongs to Tamil Chola kings.
00:29:15And the Prime Minister is only trying to exploit it for political gains.
00:29:18You can expect that this is also going to be echoing in the parliament, given the fact
00:29:22that not just Manikam Tagore, but we are learning from our sources.
00:29:26Many DMK MPs, many Congress MPs are going to come armed and loaded with this issue.
00:29:32And obviously, they would be trying to equate as to how, you know, the legacy or the contributions
00:29:39of Tamil Chola kings was far more better than the incumbent government.
00:29:44So as far as Congress is concerned, you can expect that this is also going to be one of
00:29:48their weapons in terms of cornering government on the issue of Operation Sindhur in both the
00:29:54Houses of the Parliament.
00:29:55All right, Rahul, thank you so much for getting us all those details and for that context.
00:29:59With that, we are now shifting focus. We are getting some more breaking news.
00:30:28And Congress gives clean shit to Pakistan in the Pahalgaam terror attack.
00:30:31Congress MPP Chudamram says no proof of Pakistan's role in the Pahalgaam attack.
00:30:37Chudamram also points to domestic jihadi role.
00:30:40Now, after this remark by P Chudamram, BJP has hit out at the Congress party saying that
00:30:46Congress is Pakistan's defense lawyer and that Congress always protects enemy Pakistan.
00:30:52So ahead of the debate on Operation Sindhur in the Parliament today in the Lok Sabha,
00:31:01now a war of words has erupted between the Congress and the BJP after Congress party gave
00:31:06a clean shit to Pakistan in the Pahalgaam terror attack with Congress MPP Chudamram, who
00:31:11is a very senior leader of the Congress party, saying that there's no proof of Pakistan's role
00:31:15in Pahalgaam terror attack. In fact, he also pointed to possible domestic jihadi role.
00:31:21Now, the BJP has hit out at the Congress saying that Congress is Pakistan's defense lawyer
00:31:27and that it always tries to protect the enemy, Pakistan.
00:31:33So Congress party's P Chudamram has said that there's no proof that has been established
00:31:39that the attackers involved in the Pahalgaam terror attack were from Pakistan.
00:31:45There's no proof, no evidence of this fact. And that he also said that there could be
00:31:50a domestic jihadi role in the terror attack that took place in Pahalgaam, to which now
00:31:56the BJP has attacked the Congress saying that Congress always acts like Pakistan's defense
00:32:03lawyer. Whenever there's an attack like this, Congress always defends Pakistan. This is what
00:32:08the BJP has said. In fact, BJP has also said that Congress always tries to protect enemy
00:32:15Pakistan in such issues.
00:32:21So ahead of the fiery session in the Parliament today on Operation Sindhura, war of words has
00:32:27already erupted between the Congress and the BJP over the Pahalgaam terror attack. Now, this comes
00:32:32after Congress MPP Chudamram said that there's no solid proof to proof of Pakistan's role in
00:32:39Pahalgaam terror attack. He has said that there's no evidence that establishes the attacker's link
00:32:45to Pakistan. In fact, he also said that there could be domestic jihadi role in the Pahalgaam terror
00:32:51attack. Now, the fumed BJP has attacked the Congress saying that Congress always acts like
00:32:57Pakistan's defense lawyer and that it always tries to protect enemy Pakistan. My colleague Rahul Gautam
00:33:04is with us with more details on this. Rahul, a war of words has now erupted between Congress and the
00:33:11BJP over Chudamram's statement saying that it cannot be established that the attackers in the
00:33:18Pahalgaam terror attack were from Pakistan.
00:33:20Absolutely. And, you know, by saying so, we can expect that Congress MPP has given cannon
00:33:28fodder to BJP because the premium budget statement has come at the very beginning of a discussion
00:33:35on Operation Sindhura in Lok Sabha. And in a way, by saying this, and which has been a stated
00:33:42position of Indian government, that how these terrorists not just came from Pakistan, in fact,
00:33:49the entire terror network in Kashmir is being financed by Pakistan. So clearly, you can expect
00:33:56that this is going to gather more speed. And the BJP MPs will certainly be going aggressive
00:34:02on Congress fighting, as Congress would be seeking answers on Operation Sindhura. Also,
00:34:08we must understand that by saying so that, because we all know that government has been claiming
00:34:14that a massive manhunt is already underway in Kashmir to locate these terrorists. They've already
00:34:21issued sketches of these terrorists by saying that, how can you assume that these terrorists
00:34:28have come from Pakistan? In a way, BJP is saying that Pichudamram is giving a clean shit to Pakistan.
00:34:36And they are saying that this has been a constant approach of the Congress party to go soft on
00:34:45a partisan terror element. So you can expect that this is going to gather more steam and certainly going
00:34:50to become flashpoint today in both the others of the parliament.
00:34:54Rahul, do stay with us. We're getting some more inputs on the story.
00:34:57And now this is regarding the debate on Operation Sindhura in the parliament. Now, as per Congress,
00:35:12sources were learning that Shashi Tharoor is unlikely to speak on Operation Sindhura. The MPs who want to
00:35:17speak on certain issues have to send their requests to the CPP office. However, Shashi Tharoor hasn't done
00:35:24so far. So that's the update that is coming in. As per Congress sources, we're learning that Shashi
00:35:29Tharoor is unlikely to speak on Operation Sindhura in the parliament, as the MPs who want to speak on
00:35:34certain issues have to send their requests to the CPP office. However, he hasn't done so far.
00:35:40So my colleague Rahul Gautam continues to stay with us with more details on this. Rahul, Shashi Tharoor,
00:35:46who has been a key voice speaking on Operation Sindhura, he was a part of the delegation as well,
00:35:52the international delegation to the United States. He will not be speaking on this issue in the
00:35:58parliament.
00:36:00Well, absolutely. This is what we're learning from our sources that Shashi Tharoor, Congress MP from
00:36:06Svendram, is unlikely to speak on Operation Sindhura. This is essentially going to happen because of the
00:36:12fact that the MPs who want to speak on certain issues, they must send their request to Sonia Gandhi's
00:36:20office. There is the office of Congress Parliamentary Party and Shashi Tharoor hasn't done this so far.
00:36:28So it is expected that Shashi Tharoor will not be speaking on Operation Sindhura. Now, we also know
00:36:33the background of this entire story that how Shashi Tharoor was handpicked by government to go and lead
00:36:42an all-party delegation to Western countries. At that point of time, he made certain remarks
00:36:48pertaining to Operation Sindhura, surgical strikes and foreign diplomacy, which had not gone well with
00:36:54the Congress party. And Congress had, in fact, expressed unhappiness and displeasure over the remarks
00:37:01that were made by Shashi Tharoor. So many would obviously think Shashi Tharoor not speaking in
00:37:07Parliament with the kind of remarks and statements that he had given in the reported favor of BJP.
00:37:15Because many in Congress believe that he was providing cover fire to BJP, who is on back foot after the
00:37:23Operation Sindhura and how the ceasefire was brokered between India and Pakistan by the alleged intervention
00:37:29of Donald Trump. So, obviously, the BJP would be attacking Congress, saying that this only shows
00:37:36the petty mindset of Congress leaders by not giving space and floor to Shashi Tharoor, whom they believe
00:37:43have been speaking in the favor of the country alone.
00:37:47Right. Rahul, do stay with us. So, eloquent Tharoor, not in Congress party's list.
00:37:52Operation Sindhura, Tharoor is yet to seek time to speak on Operation Sindhura.
00:37:57Tharoor defied the Congress, was Operation Sindhura's envoy as well. After run-ins with Congress
00:38:02and batting for the government, Operation Sindhura envoy Shashi Tharoor took patriotic line.
00:38:08Is this the reason why the Congress party is upset? Rahul Gautam continues to stay with us.
00:38:15Rahul, does the absence of such prominent voices like Shashi Tharoor also signal the indifferences
00:38:21in the Congress party as well as the opposition?
00:38:23See, the absence of, you know,
00:38:29prominent voices, as you rightly mentioned,
00:38:32like that of Shashi Tharoor is certainly going to
00:38:35be a talking point as far as parliament is concerned, because we all know
00:38:39Shashi Tharoor was the first person
00:38:41or the first member of parliament who was hand-picked by
00:38:45the incumbent BJP government who had
00:38:47an all-party delegation in order to, you know, present India's state before global platforms
00:38:54and to expose Pakistan involvement in Kashmir's terrorism.
00:39:00Also, you know, we all know that all is not well between Shashi Tharoor and Congress.
00:39:05We all had seen how one of the Congress party, Mr. Uthid Raj, had in fact
00:39:12tagged Shashi Tharoor as a declared spokesperson of the BJP.
00:39:17And remember, this tweet was also retweeted by leaders like Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Theda.
00:39:22So, in a way, the Congress has already signaled its displeasure and unhappiness
00:39:28over the kind of remarks that were made by Shashi Tharoor.
00:39:31Many in the party believe that he is, in a way, giving an escape route to BJP,
00:39:39whom they believe is in a very, very tight spot
00:39:41in the aftermath of the Sundur and Belgam terror attacks.
00:39:46So, Tharoor not being on the speaker list of Congress party is certainly going to give
00:39:53an opportunity to BJP to go around and claim that he is only being punished
00:39:58because he was speaking in favor of country.
00:40:01Right. Rahul, thank you so much for those details and for that context.
00:40:04We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the story.
00:40:11Viewers, brace yourself for sunset storm.
00:40:13After a week-long washout, Parliament is all set for a fiery debate
00:40:17on the Behlgaam attack and Operation Sindhu,
00:40:20where the ruling NDA and the opposition will lock horns
00:40:22over the two issues framed around national security as well as foreign policies.
00:40:27A 16-hour debate is scheduled in the Lok Sabha starting today.
00:40:31The discussion will be initiated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
00:40:34He has held key meetings with CDS and Tri-Services Chief
00:40:38to prepare the government's response on Operation Sindhu.
00:40:41Now, sources say that the government plans to respond aggressively,
00:40:44outlining the full scope of Operation Sindhu.
00:40:47Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S.J. Shankar
00:40:50will also join the government's defence line.
00:40:52Prime Minister Modi is likely to intervene to highlight the government's
00:40:55strong track record on national security.
00:40:58Meanwhile, the big names to present the opposition side are
00:41:01Priyanka Gandhi-Wadra, Gaurav Gogoye, KC Venugopal,
00:41:04Akhiresh Yadav and Supriya Sule.
00:41:07Sources suggest that Rahul Gandhi will take the floor tomorrow.
00:41:09Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly hit out at the Modi government's foreign policy,
00:41:14accusing it of failing to secure global support for Operation Sindhu.
00:41:18He has also questioned Donald Trump's repeated claims of mediation
00:41:21between India and Pakistan.
00:41:23Prime Minister Modi, on the other hand, has defended the operation,
00:41:26calling it a complete success, the targeted terror infrastructure
00:41:30in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan,
00:41:33and showcased India's indigenous military prowess.

00:48:29What happened to our government?
00:48:31Everybody said that.
00:48:33We have to give them a punishment before us.
00:48:37There are some questions too. The question is, who has done this? Why did they not get rid of it? How did the intelligence failure happen?
00:48:49And the U.S. leader Trump says that I had a ceasefire, so how did they ceasefire and why are we not saying anything about it?
00:49:00So now there is a church for 16 hours, and in this 16 hours we will not come in front of the church.
00:49:06Today I can only welcome it. That the government will agree.
00:49:14And let's also listen in to what the Prime Minister has said on Operation Sindur so far.

00:56:58Let's also listen in to what US President Donald Trump said in the past while claiming
00:57:19credit for the truce between India and Pakistan.
00:57:25We stopped a lot of fights I think a very big one frankly a very very big one was India
00:57:30and Pakistan and we stopped that over trade we're dealing with India and we're dealing
00:57:34with Pakistan and we say we're not going to be dealing with you at all if you're not if
00:57:38you're going to fight and they were maybe at a nuclear stage they're both you know nuclear
00:57:42powers and I think stopping that was very important.
00:57:55The Bihar voter list revision row continues with a key hearing in the Supreme Court scheduled
00:58:02for today.
00:58:03Meanwhile the opposition is preparing to up the ante with more protests expected in the
00:58:07days ahead.
00:58:08At the center of the storm is the election commission stating that a voter cannot be included in
00:58:13the electoral roll solely on the basis of documents like Aadhaar card, Russian card or previously
00:58:19issued voter ID.
00:58:21The opposition has hit out claiming that the election commission is conducting a citizenship
00:58:26exercise and that citizenship is being politicized and camouflaged.
00:58:31The Congress has questioned whether evaluating citizenship domain has been granted upon the election
00:58:36commission but the election commission has pushed back saying that the opposition's fuss
00:58:41is unwarranted.
00:58:42Election commission sources have told India today that the draft list is not final and an entire
00:58:47month from August 1st to September 1st is available to file objections.
00:58:51Most of the time when this election is announced it will last four or five months or Drinkis
00:58:59of the Volksgeist.
00:59:03No institutional arrogance.
00:59:33No institutional arrogance.
01:00:03No institutional arrogance.
01:00:33No institutional arrogance.

01:01:39No institutional arrogance.
01:01:41No institutional arrogance.

01:01:47No institutional arrogance.
01:01:50And my colleague Anisha Mathur is now joining us with more details on this.
01:01:55Anisha, can the Supreme Court draw the line between legality and politics in the special intensive revision exercise?
01:02:01Well, we'll have to see how this works out.
01:02:05Because remember, in the last hearing also, the Supreme Court had questioned the legality and the procedural aspects of the Bihar SIR.
01:02:17In fact, the Supreme Court bench of Justice Surikant and Justice Bakhti themselves had questioned that will there be enough time for the procedures to be followed?
01:02:26If somebody's name is deleted from the list, is there enough time for them to file the appeal and go through the appellate process?
01:02:33And that is precisely what we'll have to wait and see today as the EC keeps saying that there is one month to file objections and then there will be time given for the appeal process.
01:02:43But remember, the Bihar elections are in November and that, again, is the plank of the objections that have been raised by the petitioners who are saying that even if the de novo exercise has to go on, it needs to be de-linked from the upcoming Bihar elections.
01:02:59If you look at the affidavits that have been filed, which will be considered by the Supreme Court today, the Election Commission saying that it does, in fact, have the right to conduct this exercise,
01:03:09that it is trying to ensure that every valid voter remains included in the electoral roll.
01:03:19On the other hand, the petitioners are pointing out the EC's own press note data, where it is saying that lakhs of people have been found to be not at home, which are migrant workers, lakhs of people whose forms have not come back within the right.
01:03:33Thank you very much.
01:04:03So that's the breaking news that's coming in from the state of Karnataka over the fight for the CM chair.
01:04:17Let's listen in to some reactions.
01:04:33And my colleague Sagai is now joining us with more details on this.
01:05:02Amit, buzz over fight for the CM chair in the state of Karnataka between Sidra Maya and DK Shivkumar.
01:05:08It seems like there's a new entry of State Home Minister Ji Parmeshwara.
01:05:12Absolutely, and if you notice that Devendra Appa, who was talking in an event in Davangiraya, has backed Ji Parmeshwara, who is the sitting Home Minister, as the next Chief Minister.
01:05:22While addressing the gathering, he went on to say that it is just one step away for a Dalit leader to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
01:05:30And he also claimed that it is a long-standing view that they should be given, and it is a demand from OVC as well as the Dalit community that a leader from their community should become the Chief Minister.
01:05:42And he has batted for Home Minister Ji Parmeshwara as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.
01:05:47Remember, as you rightly pointed out, there is a gag order within the Karnataka Congress unit stating that there should not be any kind of statement in public when it comes to the Chief Minister's post.
01:05:58Despite all those diktats which have been issued, still leaders have violated that and made public statements, just like Devendra Appa.
01:06:08Right, Sigay, thank you so much for getting us those details and for that context on the race for the Chief Minister's Chair in the state of Karnataka, where there's a third entry of the State Home Minister.
01:06:28And we're now getting some more breaking news. Baby trafficking racket busted in Hyderabad.
01:06:33Doctor turns infant trafficker. Doctor charges 30 lakh rupees for stolen child and DNA test busts baby trade ring.
01:06:44Ten people have been arrested so far in this case.
01:06:47So baby trafficking racket has been busted in Hyderabad where a doctor turned infant trafficker.
01:06:53The doctor charged 30 lakh rupees for the stolen child and DNA test busted this baby trade ring in which ten people have been arrested.
01:07:03This case may government doctors' involvement in Hyderabad.
01:07:13This case may be government doctors' involvement in Hyderabad.
01:07:18This case may not be government doctor's involvement in Hyderabad.
01:07:21But that doctor has been involved in minor O.T. procedures.
01:07:25He has been involved in a service, so it is a very important thing to be asked.
01:07:29Where is the work?
01:07:31Doctor has already been told.
01:07:31Doctor has already been told.
01:07:33Doctor has been given to you.
01:07:34He has been given a surrender.
01:07:36He has been given to him.
01:07:37Question is going into it.
01:07:38So what does he have done this procedure for the government to stop this?
01:07:42We will definitely plan.
01:07:43We will plan.
01:07:45We will plan.
01:07:46Because the public cheating is not right.
01:07:49This clinic operates many agents in the area who identify couples who want to sell their
01:08:02babies and a similar couple sold their baby to this clinic and the clinic later on gave
01:08:08the same child in the month of June this year to this complainant telling them that this
01:08:13baby was born to them through surrogacy but when they did a DNA test the DNA did not match
01:08:19and that with that they approached us so yesterday we have raided that clinic with the help of
01:08:23medical health department as well and we found that the clinic was indulging in a lot of treatments
01:08:29which they should not do as the proper certifications are not there.
01:08:35And now shifting focus India staged a miraculous recovery against England in Manchester to draw
01:08:40the penultimate test of the five match series led by Shubhman Gil, KL Rahul, Washington Sundar and
01:08:46Ravindra Jadeja's impressive batting India kept the England bowlers quite on the all-important fifth
01:08:53day. Rahul showed all his experience of playing in England as he scripted yet another half century
01:08:58and even tired the England bowlers out. Sundar who received a batting promotion and Jadeja carried
01:09:05forward the good work wiping out the 311 run deficit and taking India to lead. The duo smashed their
01:09:11individual hundreds in the process as India successfully managed a draw they still trail 1-2
01:09:17in the series. Meanwhile injured Rishabh Panth has been ruled out of the final test with a fractured toe
01:09:23Jagadeesan named as the replacement.
01:09:252-1-2 for 3.
01:09:28The first thing is that I don't remember any of my history. I think this is making our history
01:09:34itself. Honestly, no one does not want to follow anyone in this team. This is making our history
01:09:40itself. They want to fight for a common man back home. Important thing was that many people
01:09:46had write-off in this test match. This is the foundation of this team. These are characters
01:09:54who are sitting in this dressing room wanting to fight for the country and they will continue to do
01:09:58that. When you see when you put under the pressure when you put under the pump and you end up adding
01:10:01five sessions I think that's a great character and anything that you do in these conditions when you
01:10:07put under pressure and you come out of those pressure moments it is always a great feeling and it just ends
01:10:12up giving a lot of confidence in the dressing room as well. And I'm sure I think going into Oval I
01:10:17think we will be high on confidence but we can't take anything for granted. I think it's going to be a
01:10:22new game. It's going to be against a strong England side and we absolutely will be up for it.
01:10:26Yeah, another hard-fought test. Another five-dayer. Yeah, I think we set the game up really well. I think
01:10:36going back earlier to the Ben Duckett and Zach Crawley opening partnership, the way that they
01:10:43took the game on and really tried to put the Indian bowlers under pressure. The rate that they scored
01:10:49at allowed us to have that focus on batting once and trying to get as far ahead of the game as we
01:10:57possibly could and then giving ourselves a good chance of bowling them out. Obviously didn't transpire that
01:11:03way but you know we played the game in the way that we wanted to with how it turned out with them
01:11:10bowling them out. But yeah, I'll give a lot of credit to the way that India were able to play the way
01:11:20they did especially after losing two wickets in the first over and our second ends of bowling.
01:11:25Yeah, just wasn't meant to be this week.
01:11:30And my colleague Rahul Rawat is now joining us from Manchester. Rahul, what an epic draw from
01:11:36Team India at Manchester. We've witnessed a brilliant game of test cricket.
01:11:40Well, absolutely. You can actually take a win out of this draw. In fact, you can consider it
01:11:50as a win because not only it keeps you alive in the series, it also gives you a very good momentum
01:11:56and a psychological advantage for the next game. And the next game is now a very relevant one. Why?
01:12:04Because India have a huge, huge incentive because now the series is still alive. India can very well
01:12:10draw this series. Now what happened in this game is, well, the Indian captain Shubhman Gil and KL Rahul,
01:12:17they started the rear guard action at 0-2 which meant that India had lost both, in fact, two wickets
01:12:26for no run. At that stage, it seemed that an innings defeat is imminent. And not only did India play that
01:12:38draw, but also ensured that they kept England bowlers, fielders on the field for 143 overs,
01:12:45which meant that England players, they were on the field for a total number of 257 overs.
01:12:53Also, Rahul, what could be the possible changes in India's playing 11 for the oval test?
01:13:07Well, it will be difficult to say right now because India might just think that, you know,
01:13:12it's a good combination that India had here in Manchester and now on to the oval test.
01:13:19The fast bowlers because India had to, India were forced to make a few changes in their 11 because
01:13:26a few of their players were not fully fit. As far as one change, at least Rishabh Pant for sure is not
01:13:34playing the oval test and in his place will come Dhruv Jurel. Jaspreet Bumrah, it was already announced
01:13:40that he will play only three test matches in this five test series. So, he has already played his three
01:13:45test matches. So, it could be a possibility when Bumrah may not play that test match. Although
01:13:51Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of this team, today said, in fact, during the press conference, he said
01:13:56that it has still not been decided. But it was Gautam himself who had announced that Bumrah will play
01:14:03three test matches and then Akash T will also come back hopefully from that injury that kept him out
01:14:10of this test match. So, these are a few changes that might happen for the fifth test matches,
01:14:16for the fifth test match at the oval.
01:14:18Well, thank you Rahul for all those details. And with that, it is a wrap on this bulletin.
