New Delhi, July 02, 2025 (ANI): BJP slammed Congress over Former MP, Ajoy Kumar’s controversial remark on Sikkim. While Addressing a press conference on alleged ‘SAIL 400 crore scam’ by BJP government at the Centre, Congress leader Ajoy Kumar slammed Modi government over deteriorating relations with its neighbouring countries. In the sequence he mentioned Sikkim as a neighbouring country of India. This spark the controversy, and BJP’s spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla took the chance to slam Congress party over Ajoy Kumar’s remark and called it “Jinnah-vaadi party”, which is working for disintegrating the nation. However, Ajoy Kumar later apologised to for this ‘human error’ and called it a ‘slip of tongue’. He posted on his ‘X’ handle saying that he “accidently” took name of Sikkim during the press conference.
