Rescue operations finished says firefighter after train crash leaves three dead in Germany

Rescue operations from a train crash that killed three and left over 50 injured on Sunday evenin, July 27, were complete, the district fire chief of the Southern German town of Biberach said.
"To our knowledge, there are no more people in the carriages and everyone has received medical attention," Charlotte Ziller said.

Some 120 rescue workers had originally been called to the scene after the derailment and were added to as the extent of the damage became clear.
There was speculation that heavy rain had caused a bank erosion and caused the train to derail but police said that as of Sunday evening there was no information on what caused the train to crash.
